About Me

Ciao! I am a Bahamain who studied at The College of The Bahamas and received an AA in History. While studying at home, I became a member of The Bahamas National Youth Choir where I was able to travel around the world representing my country as a sort of youth ambassador. As a member of the choir, I have traveled to Cuba, Mexico, the US and China and performed for numerous foreign dignitaries.

I am currently a 4th year student at the University of Toronto, hoping to graduate with an H.BA in History and Political Science. It has taken me a while to get here (about 8 years!). So I am a testament that with lots of hard work and determination, anything can happen if you beleive. Like most students in their last year of university, I find the prospect most daunting but a little exciting as well.

As an international student studying in Canada, I came to realize how important diversity is and that we, as members of a global communtiy, need to understand and repect the things that make us different and unique from each other. For this reason, I joined the Diversity Committee at my school to helf foster a environment where one can lear about different cultures, countries and issues that affect all of us.

While it has taken me 8 years to get where I am today, I look forward to the future, and hope to work either with either international NGOs or with my home government to help with issues ranging from diversity to the environment.
