About Me

I coordinate a curricular-based program designed to connect our elementary/middle school students with students in other countries and cultures. Our program, The Dignity Center, strives to help students learn the value of recognizing and advocating for self worth and the worth of others. We currently have four partnerships and have sent teachers to those four locations and students have travelled to one. Other grade levels at our school would like to also connect with other schools via technology.
Most recently, The Dignity Center hosted 108 middle school students from central Indiana for a day of learning and action. This global leadership conference, IMAGINE...Students for Global and Local Action... informed, inspired and empowered middle school students to make a difference toward eradicating world poverty. Teams of four studetns with a teacher sponsor will work on action plans that will be recognized in March upon implementation.
