Colleen graduated cum laude from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. with a double major in International Management and Marketing and a minor in Psychology. Her undergraduate work led her to accept the first ever Venture Management Exchange position in England from over 6,000 worldwide applications. After training in Berlin, she held this post with a software development and market research company before returning to the U.S. to work in the non-profit sector.
Typically leading communications programs encompassing national brands, Colleen has directed progressive strategies for product launches, press campaigns, packaging, and marketing materials. Additional business experience includes advertising and PR, product development, fundraising, fiscal management, training and team building, market research, competitive analysis, copywriting and design, internet presence, retail, office, project and non-profit management, and conference and event organization.
With excellent written and verbal communication as well as proofing and editing skills, she has written for nationally recognized magazines, newsletters, product packaging and contributed to the publication of several books. Sales-effective marketing literature produced includes such items as catalogs, promotional mail pieces, space advertisements, package inserts, brochures, posters, flyers, sales collateral and company letterhead.
