Over Mij

I am student of management doing my masters in Business studies from Tribhuvan University of Kathmandu. As a Youth activist my interests have ranged from Youth participation, Youth politics, Youth volunteerism and peace building.
For the past 7 years I was involved with Youth Initiative, a national youth run, and youth led organization working in youth development, civic and political affairs among young people. I am also working as a Team Leader of the 'Civic Leadership School' the main goal of this program is to train the multiplier youth leaders (in politics, police, army, media, literature and various other fields) in Nepalese society who can shape Nepal's future.
I was nominated as a team leader of Monitoring and evaluation of "Breaking the cycle of poverty through the Empowerment of Adolescent girls" a project under UNSECO, Coordinator of MDG campaign and White band launching program in Nepal. My past experience was also as a Volunteer in Student Partnership World wide (SPW) and National Development Volunteer Service (NDVS) a government project under the National planning Commission (NPC).
Currently, I am President of Liberal Youth of South Asia(LYSA) www.lysasia.org (Liberal Youth South Asia (LYSA) is a network of liberal youth and liberal youth organizations of South Asia. Our members are as diverse as the region itself. Our members are engaged in promoting liberal values and democracy in their respective countries. The principal purpose of LYSA is to support and empower young liberals, liberal youth organizations to carry forward movement for liberal democracy in South Asia.)

As a president and vice President of respective organizations My responsibilities are to take the lead role in planning, designing and implementing strategies and programs. Supervise all the members and staff. Design, implement and evaluate various training and workshops, esp. for youths. Fundraise for the organization and develop networks & partnerships with the various government and non-governmental agencies on national and global level. I am the immediate past president of Youth Initiative. www.youth.org.np. I am planning to continue my further studies in "Political science".
