 About Me |
I like music. I like to travel. I am interested in development and politics, and mainly, in living life.
I studied architecture. Just after my 2nd year as professional, I was elected by popular vote in my hometown -Bogotá-, as counselor for cultural issues in the district, with a mandate for 4 years. In this duty, I had the opportunity to deal with people, with construction of democracy, with local governance and all the challenges related to a developing country. Behind my election, I was active member in the youths´ secretary at the Liberal political party in my country. This experience gave the opportunity to accompany several candidates to different parts of my country, including advicing one presidential candidate. During my time as counselor, I was invited to Peru by UN for an encounter of young latinamerican leaders in Cuzco and Macchu Pichu. After this visiting, I went also to Chile, seeing and experiencing its democracy process and community issues in Valparaiso, Santiago -its capitol city-, and several districts in the south of the country. I also got in touch with UN there, and its office on economics for latinamerica and the Caribbean.
Shortly after, I present my candidacy to study a Master´s Degree Program on Development Planning and Management in Germany. I was selected as student, and now, I am being sponsored by the german government in Dortmund University. By now, I am finishing my first of two years of the program, and I am searching for my thesis on history and development, taking specific cases Paris, New York and Africa.
