About Me   About Me
Global Issues should be part of all youths' lives. It is important that all youths are aware of the global issues and work towards a better world. Through protecting the environment, learning about aids and doing volunteer, one can learn a valuable lesson; don't take life for granted.

I am highly involved in all sorts of organizations tackling global issues and issues within communities. I am an executive of a region for a international charity as of 2008 and I also act as the volunteer coordinator coordinating 50+ youth volunteers in the Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody BC, Canada)The charity, with over a million volunteers and millions of members worldwide, aims at providing relief for those in need through direct aid. (providing them with aid face to face)We also provide lasting relief for disaster victims helping them along their path to recovery. In the community we work to provide support for families in need, support community programs and create a green environment. These mandates are met by providing bursaries and winter relief items to families as well as cleaning local streets and recycling.

In the avenue of education, the charity boasts over a hundred schools worldwide ranging from Chinese schools to secondary schools and even an university and graduate school. It aims to provide education that is full of culture and one that teaches compassion.

In medicine the charity owns 7 hospitals in Taiwan, and an international medical association providing medical aid to those in communities and those around the world. The charity also has, currently, the second largest bone marrow bank in the world. It aims to provide the best medical services to those that need it despite their ability to pay the bill.

In the community I am also a member of the Coquitlam Youth Council as recommended by my school. As part of such I work to provide programs for youth in our community, giving advice to the City Council, a youth voice that is heard.

I was also nominated by the city to participate in the British Columbia Youth Parliament acting as the Member of Coquitlam-Mallardville. This is a non-profit charity registered under Revenue Canada.

Finally, and most recently, I have been involved as a Senator in the Youth Parliament of Canada, a grassroots organization working to provide a youth voice in the federal government.

All the such, I am currently completing my last year of the International Baccalaureate Program, and I am recognized as a University of Toronto Book Scholar.
