 About Me |
I am an activist and organizer based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at this time. I am a core team member of WorldShift Movement associated with Dr. Ervin Laszlo. I am the founder of a national netroots progressive network. I also founded a grassroots progressive group in my city. I volunteer with various other progressive organizations and serve on the board of the Tennessee Alliance for Progress, one of the leading statewide organizations in Tennessee. In the 2008 general election I was a volunteer field organizer for Obama for America TN. I am a lifelong Tennessean; growing up in the village of Viola, one of the smallest incorporated towns in middle Tennessee. My personal mission and dream is working with other towards the creation of the Beloved Community spoken of by MLK Jr.
I am a 2011 inaugural Greensboro Justice Fund Fellow at Highlander Center. I am a leadership training alumni of the Rockwood Leadership Institute's Art of Leadership, and graduate of the New Organizing Institute's BootCamp 2010, a competitive selective fellowship for training in new media tools and technology.
My interests are varied but center around building a sustainable global society with peace & justice.
