Dan leads the YMCA National Federal Public Sector Youth Internship Program, which to date has helped over 10,000 young people across Canada find mentoring, education and work experiences.
Dan is a community builder and advocate with a passion for connecting LGBTQ newcomers to safe spaces and settlement resources. Through a diversity and social inclusion framework, Dan helps others to build LGBTQ ally and support groups. He is the recipient of the 2007 Metropolitan Community Church Vision Alive Award, for creating and facilitating several LGBTQ refugee sponsorship and support initiatives.
