About me
A graduate of the Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU) Business Administration program, Dan brings a wealth of experience working with students as well as travel experience in 15 Sub-Saharan African countries to the role of Youth Initiatives Coordinator Sierra Leone.
While completing his degree at WLU, Dan served as the President and CEO of the Wilfrid Laurier University Students' Union, representing over 9,000 undergraduate students in negotiations with the University administration as well as municipal and provincial government officials. Key projects initiated or developed during his term included the creation of the Laurier Student Leadership Centre, designed to bring leadership opportunities and education to all students on campus, as well as the development of a 2,500 square foot Student Centre at the University Brantford campus.
He has also served as a Residence Life Advisor, mentoring and developing social and developmental programs for a community of 36 men and women in their transition to university.
Most recently Dan has worked with IT author and strategist Don Tapscott as a research analyst focusing on corporate transparency as well the link between information technology and competitive advantage.
An avid traveller, he has explored over 30 countries in Europe, Asia, the South Pacific and most recently Africa.
