 About Me |
Music with a political message has been something I've always been attracted to. It seems to give me a good reason to sing. Like my song 40 Trains a day. We live across the street from Fresno City College and the local BNSF tracks run right through the middle of the campus. The noise, danger and inconvenience had been bearable until a few months ago when one of the students coming back from football practice tried to beat the train and was killed. Many people who live near the tracks, which run right through the middle of Fresno have tried to get the tracks moved to a less populated area on the outskirts of town to no avail. But, since Junior the football player was killed we have been picking up steam in our call to move the tracks. They put in an underpass through the campus and built fences. That helps, but there's still other issues with the train: Air pollution, noise and people still getting killed by the trains on a regular basis. To hear
