I'm an art therapist creating Action Hero training camps in two rural villages--

The sense of community I feel in rural villages is very appealing. "Modern people" have a lot to learn from their slow pace of life centred on the flow of natural cycles.
Action Heroes are creating safe gathering spaces in these villages where we will grow gardens and model green building methods, so that money isn't needed to live abundantly. We want to free ourselves from the money system through creativity.
Last spring, in Uganda, I donated four sewing machines to two non-profits, and together we made 40+ hammocks that were given to the needy. Spring 2009, the plan is to return with a crew to tour many orphanages teaching circus skills and developing community gardens. Winter 2009, Action Heroes are in Roblito(Mexico). We have land there to create a centre where all non-profits and community builders are invited to gather. It is only one day on the bus from the USA. It is a good place for seekers to land, learn the language, meet travel partners, pick up skills and move away from better prepared to explore the real Mexico.
Past projects:
When Hurricane Katrina hit, I constructed a 60ft geodesic dome in the Gulf Coast to create a community center with a Rainbow Family kitchen, which lasted nine months.
