About Me

My name is Collins Odongo,and iam 32 year old currently residing in the United States. Prior to my relocation I worked for GOAL Ireland, an international humanitarian organization as a Programme Officer (Business Development) and Project Manager respectively in Kenya for over 3 years. Here I was charged with designing, implementing and monitoring of the organizations developmental to programmatic work.
During the same period I worked as a Board member (Vice- Chairman) for Kimisitu Sacco. I held the position of the In Country Support Officer (Programme coordinator), for the Canadian Crossroads International (CCI-Kenya chapter) .Relating to this position I was instrumental in the coordination of all the Programme activities in the country and formalization of partnerships with the relevant agencies as part of the new strategic change of direction from cross cultural exchange to international development.
I have accomplished my Diploma in Co-operative Management with credit pass overall and a distinction one in Marketing. I have also taken a number of accounting courses with KASNEB (Accounting Examining Body) and passed. I also undertook a rigorous training on the RBM (Result Based Management Framework) towards project monitoring, reporting and programming. I also underwent a university training course in the field of Youth and development in Mollina, Spain. Prior to my relocation to the US I was in my 3rd year academic pursuit of my degree in the field of social sciences (Bachelors of Arts, Sociology) at the University of Nairobi, Kenya
I also worked as a research Assistant with Pathfinder International in a baseline survey on STI/HIV/AIDS for the urban initiative program.
I am married and a father of my two lovely daughters Maggie and Debbie.
