Olukemi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Post Graduate degree in Community Development and Master degree in Development Studies. Olukemi has attended numerous training courses in BCC for youth & health communication. She has been working in Nigeria with various international and local partners in designing and implementing Behavior Change Communication Programmes and activities, with a particular focus on hard to reach social groups, including the Muslim and Christian communities in northern Nigeria. Since January 2005, she has been the Communication and Mobilization Programme Officer for Communication Support Centre Kano. With her background with C-Support as Programme Officer, she coordinated the implementation of DFID, EU and USAID funded communication and mobilization programmes in the areas of Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH), Family Planning, Safe Motherhood, HIV/AIDS/STIs, Child Survival (Polio Eradication and Routine Immunization) Democracy and Good Governance, Women Political Empowerment, Girl-Child Schooling and youth empowerment, which has provided her with a deep understanding of and know-how in community mobilization and communication.
