I am interested in music, especially Hiphop, Ragga and Funk music and I love playing basketball. Until April 2004 I was doing my civil service in an international youth hostel in Frankfurt/ Main. In the month of June, I did voluntary work for the NGO "ADIF" in Dakar/ Senegal participating in the National Youth Council of Senegal. Afterwards, I was travelling through Senegal and Mali until the beginning of September staying with local families. As I love to communicate with people from different countries I like to learn languages. I love travelling as you can get a direct impression of different cultures and have conversations with people from another social background with different traditions and beliefs. I have already been travelling extensively through Europe, the West of the USA, Western Africa and China. I would like to work for a non-profit organisation to improve the situation in my country in different ways, but as I love travelling I think of going to foreign countries first and foremost. I think intercultural exchange can teach a person a lot. That's why I decided to experience another culture by leaving my own continent. Now, I appreciate my own life and my own country a lot more after having used the opportunity to get to know the friendly African way of life and different African customs. I would like to give this opportunity to other people, too. I do a Bachelor Degree in African Studies of Culture and Society, my minor subect is African Arts and Literature.
