About me
The world is progressing and increasing as the technology is developing. Throughout humanity history, men incurred the disasters caused by them similar; watching quietly, too terrorized to say anything. Often ignoring what was happening in the world and sometimes to themselves; the Medias were rating the information and getting control on population’s minds. Technology has revolutionized the world, leaving the word “ignorance” in the shadow… but how far is that going to go? A new phenomenon appeared throughout the past years: the citizen-journalist. Globally it’s simply an individual who had the chance to be at the right place at the right moment and supplied information and photos to the Medias. It’s a tremendous apparition, indeed, but as long as the Medias are still able to exercise control on the information transmitted to the viewers. The censure as almost disappeared, but human doesn’t need to read whatever information that someone submitted and that is probably not provable. The riots of the Arabian’s spring are a proof of the good effectives of facebook and the citizen-journalism on the society. Populations got informed of the disasters of the oppressive government and the urgent need to move, to be heard and to say no. Conversely, human being, once he has the power to reveal instant information, is he proficient to differentiate the useful of the useless? A bomb hoax in the subway, one morning or even a bad taste joke about a politician’s contact: this is useless to the Medias, but some people truly sent that. Are the citizens reporters able to be deprive of that? What about those who read that erroneous news on web? Yet, they will receive too much information and their filter that used to select what to believe or not will get thinner.
The technology evolution has also brought the need of the instantaneous. People want to know “right now”. No time for the information to be verified by professionals, individuals prefer to click one time to see what is happening at the very minute. Not so far ago, human race was watching quietly the disasters, often ignoring what it was incurring. Now a day, the human being is making so much noise in front of trivial events that he may ignore was it is actually the truth of what is happening to him.
“Information is a source of learning. But unless it is organized, processed and available to the right people in a format for a decision making, it is a burden, not a benefit.”
