Kia ora - greetings from Aotearoa, New Zealand!
I am a rights advocate for my people - the Te Rarawa Maori in the North of the North Island of NZ. I am employed with my peoples' governing authority, Te Runanga o Te Rarawa. I was a United Nations Indigenous Fellow in 2005 based at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and attended the 4th and 5th sessions of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. I am a member of a number of Youth, Pacific and Maori Forums/ e-groups, and I hope to continue my human rights advocacy work with any groups that wish to make a positive difference in the world.
