About Me

Hi, wow 2 minutes is a short time to try sum up who you are and what you are about!! So here is a little more about me.

I live by the beach and work as a manager of an environmental organization that works throughout Australia. I am also the liaison officer for a non for profit organization focused on creating and improving native habitats for native Australian plants and animals.

I enjoy these roles but I find this industry so frustrating at times. There seems to be such complacency about environmental issues in almost all sector of society.

I feel possessed to inspire and educate people from my generation and those younger to lose this complacency. Unfortunately its an uphill battle especially when you have a limited audience.

I am a leader at work and I am a leader in my sporing pursuits. People say that I am very effective communicator so I figure the Borneo project would be a perfect opportunity to combine all of the elements in my life to actually effect change. In particular on a large scale and in this pivotal time in the history of our planet.

I have always had a huge connection with the power, beauty and order in the natural world. I don't think I could operate successfully as a human without it in my life so when i see things like the deforestation in Borneo and the death of Orangutans I feel sick and lost on the injustices this world is doing to itself.

I hope you vote for me to be included in this project because I know my passion and energy would be contagious. But I also genuinely hope the best ten people are selected because these are the kinds of people that should be representing our generation for a healthy future for everyone.
