 About Me |
I am a Portuguese-American, born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, and a recent graduate of New York University. Over the past few years I have focused my academic interests on children’s rights and international development and security (though I suppose those two issues are broad enough in themselves). I have studied and traveled extensively throughout the Iberian Peninsula, and am especially interested in Iberian history and literature. Following an internship with the LBL Foundation, I have been greatly inspired by the work of Mr. Olara Otunnu, and hope to continue in his footsteps by working with GYAN. I plan on continuing my education, and hopefully narrowing down my interests even more. In the meantime, I enjoy great books, good music, the occasional sports game (hockey or soccer mainly), and friendly company!
