About Me

The Calgary Youth Foundation began in 1994 as the first program of its kind in Canada with a purpose to turn dreams into reality. Involving youth in a hands on approach to philanthropy, it provides youth with an opportunity to create positive change in their community.

The Calgary Youth Foundation coordinates two granting cycles each year, in November and February. During each granting cycle the Youth Foundation is able to grant youth initiated projects and youth serving agencies up to a maximum of $1,500. The other purpose of the Youth Foundation include educating youth on the importance of philanthropy, the importance of fundraising, and the importance of community contributions to the youth of Calgary.
