Dar y recibir solidaridad: Educación como herramienta para cambiar vidas. Algunos días y escenarios, te haces consciente de una vieja canción de Alberto Cortes : “entre los 15 y los 35, uno se piensa que es inmortal/ va por la vida haciendo el indio…” De repente con más fuerza que en otros años, estoy enfrentado a un conflicto, para seguir adelante, con nuestros sueños y labor de sensibilización y comunicación de CCIAV, CC4AVE, como fundación y red global solidaria. Este escenario se puede pensar desde múltiples perspectivas todas biográficas, generacionales o existenciales. La historia larga es: cómo es posible que unos esclavos, traídos a Brasil, pudieran tener un hijo que se enamorara de Catalina García, una española, blanca? O a la inversa, como es posible que alguien se arriesgara por amor a dejarlo todo, para iniciar la vida en otras tierras, de la vida en el continente al Sur, a la emigración a una isla como Santo Domingo, entre 1876 y 1890. En fin, Francisco Antonio Santos (a) Totoño o el “Águila Negra” (1876-1951), mi bisabuelo, será siempre algo más que un misterio no suficientemente develado, comenzando por la ausencia de la información, sobre su primera infancia, sobre su vida de soltero en Brasil, entre otros elementos, de interés. Lo cierto es que allí se remiten nuestros orígenes paternos, aunque nunca tuve noticias de tal personaje hasta la muerte de mi padre, cuando mi tía Ana Josefa rememorando su experiencia con la película Raices (Roots), me confió que su padre, Luis María Santos (mi abuelo), le narro que su padre era hijo de unos esclavos brasileños, en fines del siglo XIX. Que en cuatro generaciones, de afro-descendientes, se llegara a la posición de tener un medico, era en el escenario de Republica Dominicana, y por sobre todo, en el marco de la dictadura de Trujillo, algo poco menos que improbable, cuando los oficios, hábiles para un negro a fines del siglo XIX e inicios del XX, eran a penas de: hojalatero, militar, barbero o sastre, predominantemente, además de cochero. No digamos que en la quinta generación, apareciera un poeta o músico, algo mas improbable que el hecho de que alguien gane la loteria, sin jugar o logre desbancar un casino. En fin, por la línea materna, los origenes, son no menos confusos y remotos, un aventurero, el bisabuelo materno, Carlos Graciano, segun versiones de mi tio Enrique, que a sus 92 anos de edad conserva la lucidez para reconstruir en papel arboles genealogicos, ademas de trabajar como lenador, con un hacha, evento del que fui testigo el pasado ano. En fin el padre de mi abuelo paterno fue un muchacho de Valladolid, que partio a probar suerte en America, metido a los negocios y a la especulación inmobiliaria y agrícola, aunque nacido en Valladolid, perece en un naufragio o ataque de piratas, -segun siempre las versiones de tio Enrique- a fines del siglo XIX, cuando intentaba capitalizarse, en unión a sus familiares, para continuar en las inversiones. Entre tanta gente realista, poco menos que probable es que alguien se dedicara a los caminos de la solidaridad o a la defensa de la educación pública, como herramienta de movilidad socio-cultural y socio-económica, del OTRO O LA OTRA. No obstante, solo la educación PÚBLICA hizo la diferencia, entre quedar confinados en el mundo de la sastrería, para los descendientes de Totoño. Que te parece?... HOY estamos colectando fondos para poder proseguir con las actividades de este 28 aniversario de nuestro centro cultural en internet, como herramienta de producción y distribución de contenidos de tipo científico-cultural, gerencial, humanístico y afín a las ciencias sociales, para la toma de decisiones educativas y de gestión municipal, en políticas públicas, desde el B2B. :) Yoe F. Esta labor que iniciaramos desde esta fundacion y -hoy- red global CCIAV, CC4AVE con el soporte de mi padre, no ha sido descontinuada, pese a las graves limitaciones presupuestarias, tecnologicas y financieras, por las cuales atravieso, desde la muerte de mi padre, Dr. Dimas de Js. Santos Castillo, en marzo, 2007, dado que era el el principal donante, de nuestra entidad.
