About Me

Schools Building Schools (SBS) is a charitable initiaive dedicated to providing funds and resources for the construction of vocational schools in rural Uganda.

SBS is an organization run entirely by students and recent graduates. SBS, In coordination with the Mbarara University of Science and Technology, is working towards completing our first major project: Project MUST. Our goal is to provide additional classrooms for a local vocational school by the end of summer 2011.

The vast majority of students who attend the vocational school are severely underprivileged; many are orphans, significantly due to HIV/Aids, and most are living at or below subsistence levels. The vocational school will provide students with necessary skills to obtain careers in various trades.

Canadian students are involved in all aspects of fundraising for Project MUST, including hosting events, web development and grant writing. This is a great opportunity for socially-minded young people to get involved in a worthy cause. Check out our website for more information!
