About me
Bernise is a social entrepreneur from Singapore who is passionate about empowering and activating young people to realise their potential - and to bring about positive change to their communities.
She has a deep interest in building human capacity and social capital; international development; participatory decision-making; and the empowerment of young people for social change.
In her university days, she was actively involved in campaigns to advance the welfare and protection of fellow students, particularly those from minority/marginalised backgrounds. This inspired her determination to take greater action on social issues when she graduated.
Bernise then founded Syinc, which works to equip young people as community problem-solvers by developing their skills and building their networks.
She has since served as an Advisor to Youth Action for Change, which works to empower youth through ICT for positive social change.
