Born Canadian (1952) Single Father of 3 awesome, young adults (2 Boys, 1 Girl)
Married Twice (No children from second marriage, but had a wonderful step-daughter)
Grade 12 diploma, and a couple of years college.
Despite my education, all of my skills and knowledge were self-taught outside of any formal education. I learned and applied my skills 'on the job.'
Earliest experiences with computers started in 1973 on a CAD/CAM system in a structural steel firm.
Lived in Israel (Dec. '79 thru Aug. '90) Left Israel at the top of my profession - Technical Illustrator, having worked in the countries top technical writing firms.
Have taught myself various computer languages - Basic, LISP, MSAccess, JavaScript, HTML, Lasso, PHP
Have spent the past 10 years obsessed by a vision for sustainable development providing/creating the opportunities from which my region could regenerate community prosperity. Am currently a volunteer in helping our region establish strategies pertaining to sustainable development. (See Smarter Niagara at http://www.smarterniagara.com )
I've been quite active independently as well as in various municipal committees and meetings regarding the revitalization of our downtown.
Have written articles for an online magazine for visionary entrepreneurship. Seen.com went down after 9/11 but my articles are archived at http://www.newciv.org/c4c
