About Me   About Me
Born of the people of the continent of Africa. Ben is a high school graduate with creadit in social studies. My hobbys are listening to music, reading, travelling,Community work and socializing.

In all my life right from child hood ,i have always been wanting to be a leader in one way or another. This has made me be appointed as the junior Minister for Planning and Finance in Kenya's Chidren' Cabinet (2002-2003),currently am the Team Leader to the UNESCO Youth Forum - KENYA,under the umbrellar of Kenya National Commission for UNESCO ,and also a member of the Kenya National youth policy steering commitee.

I have also benefited from the on going life skill education by UNICEF Kenya Country office. The pain of violent conflict that the people of Liberia, Somalia, the Sudan, Burundi and Algeria is a pain i also bear.

The dismal shame of poverty suffering and human degradation of my continent is a plight that we share.

The plight on our happiness that derives from this and from our drift to the periphery of the pordering of human affairs leaves us in a persistent shadow of despair.

This is a savage road to which nobody should be condemd. This things that we have done to day, in this small corner of great continent that has contributed so decisively to the evolution of humanity says that Africa reafirms that she is continuing her rise from ashes.

Whatever the setback of the moment nothing can stop us,
whatever the difficulties, Africa shall be at peace,
However improbable it may sound to the sceptics, Africa will prosper,

As for me,

I believe that young people are not only subject for whom various actions and activities are carried out ; they are also agent and actors with whom programs should be envisaged and implimented, BECAUSE YOUTH CAN AND MUST MAKE A CONTRIBUTION AND DIFFERENCE.

We at UNESCO Youth Forum - Kenya, need young people's input not only on what to do,but on how to di it,

(Africa is a Problem and Africans will remain a solution to its Problems)

Says,

Ben OMONDI
