PROFILE: Engr. Babatunde Oloko is a consulting engineer and an infrastructure development expert currently with Livingstone Consultants (a Consulting Civil/Structural/Environmental Engineering firm) based in Lagos, Nigeria, as its Principal Consultant/Partner with the responsibility for project management, engineering studies, design and construction supervision of wide variety of schemes in Nigeria. My main area of work during the past eighteen years has been for the benefit of both clients and community alike. I have done consultancy for the World Bank Assisted programme(Infrastructure Development Fund project for some states in Nigeria, Lagos Drainage and Sanitation Study, etc), EU- Rural water supply and sanitation projects, Federal and many State Governments in Nigeria, other national, private and corporate organizations. I am also actively involved with policy reforms at the national and international level. I was a member of the West African Civil Society at the “Commission for Africa (CFA is an independent international commission set up by UK Prime Minister Tony Blair)” consultations to prepare the “What can the G8 do to support sustainable development of Africa”. I served on professional committees and presently a council member of Association of Consulting Engineers, Nigeria (ACEN). I have made seminar presentations; delivered lectures at Nigerian Society of Engineers organized workshops and published papers. I am a registered professional Engineer in Nigeria with 20 years consulting experience. I graduated from the University of Lagos with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a master's degree in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering from the same university. Also, I hold a diploma in entrepreneurship from FATE School of Entrepreneurship I am a Fellow, Leadership for Environment and Development (LEAD International –a global network of professionals committed to sustainable development), and active member of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Association of Consulting Engineers, Nigeria (ACEN). I am a holder of Marquis Award for who is who in Science and Engineering, 2004. I have participated in several international and national seminars and conferences on engineering, water and sustainable development. I am a dedicated Christian, passionate about God and married to a very lovely lady Adejoke and have two beautiful daughters Oluwafunke and Oluwatamilore. I enjoy reading, traveling, adventure, sports and making new friends. I am a keen traveler and have visited USA, UK, Canada, Czech Republic, Turkey, Mexico, UAE, India, Netherlands, Senegal and Benin Republic, China, etc. I also love and search for fresh challenges and fulfillment. I desire to be a global entrepreneur and hope to make an impact and play an active role someday in private sector participation in the Infrastructure development and Sustainable development in Nigeria.
