 About Me |
I am a practicing development worker with over five years experience in the design and implemntation of community development projects such as community health financing schemes, water and sanitation, HIV/AIDS. I served as a teaching assistant in the department of planning of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and technology,Kumasi Ghana in year 2001 after which I served as a local consultant with the Partners for Health Reformplus, an NGO. During my school days in the KNUST, I was the President of the Youth Initiatives Foundation (YIF, a youth organisation devoted to empowering the youth and undertaking educational programmes on HIV/AIDS, reproductive health and career choices etc for both in school and out of school youth. Currently I serve as a consultant to grassroot organisations across Ghana. My experiences with these grassroot organisations across the poverty enclaves of Ghana have not only revealed to me the enormity of the problems that we a confronted as a country but have also hightened my interest to continue undertake measures such capacity building of grassroot organisations, citizen engagement and rooted advocacy ie. advocay that is rooted in the experiences of primary stakeholders that enables them to influence policies and practices that affect them. Ayugane Theophilus has a first degree in development planning (policy option) (July 200) and a masters degree in health services planning and management.(2004)
