 About Me |
I am from the sunny Caribbean island of Trinidad. I attend the University of Toronto and am in the Journalism program. Journalism is my passion. At 14, I worked for the Trinidad Guardian as youth columnist covering issues ranging from empowerment to sexuality. At 17, I worked for Gayelle The Channel as a producer, director and host of youth programs. I have been co-director, co-producer and co-script writer for environmental conservation documentaries in Trinidad.
During summer 2006, I worked with TakingItGlobal as the AIDS Youth Media and Communications Coordinator in preparation for the XVI International AIDS conference in August.
During summer 2007, I worked with the Youth Environmental Network as their Marketing and Communications Coordinator and I interned with the CBC in August.
I am currently the CLC Toronto Youth Engagement Coordinator.
