 About Me |
Born on the 22nd August, 1981 at the Georgetown hospital, Guyana, Dion Barker has grown to love what he's doing and always does it to the best of his ability.
Dion attended Central High School for five years, graduating with seven (7) CXC subjects and two (2) G.C.E subjects. Dion proved to be a well rounded student; not only shining in the classroom, but he was also outstanding on the track. He excelled in track and field; being the champion athlete for his school on more than one occasion. He then went on to represent his country on various track meets all over the world; later becoming a member of the Amateur Athletic Association of Guyana; (AAAG), where he currently serves as the Marketing Officer.
Having successfully completed these tasks, Dion has turned his attention to youth development. To this end, Dion had put all his energies into promoting youth development in Guyana. Thus, he believes that every young individual’s voice must be heard, and his motto is,” The youths are the seeds of tomorrow's trees".
Dion is also certified accounting technician, and in September, he will be commencing university education; majoring in Management at the University of Guyana, with future goals including a PhD in Finance.
