About Me

I am an advocate for change assisting with the development of youths through youth advocacy, leadership development and youth participation at the local, national,regional and international levels. I have a passion for volunteerism and hope that more youths will get involve in making our world a better place. I have a passion for culture and languages and believe that we must be the change that we want to achieve and respecting each other culture and diversity is a step in the right direction. I love to travel, meet people and play basketball. I love track and Field and Cricket.

Ashaney James is UNFPA 2010-2012, Jamaica Youth Advocacy Committee member on Sexual and Reproductive Health. Ashaney has been a youth advocate for HIV and AIDS, Children,Sexual and Reproductive Rights for over four(4) years. He has volunteer with humanitarian organization such as the Jamaica Red Cross where he serve as National Trainer on HIV and AIDS and a Youth Advisor. Ashaney is a member of the Ministry of Education Youth Leaders Working Group on Sexual and Reproductive Health. Ashaney is a member of the Jamaica Youth Advocacy Network(JYAN). Ashaney is an Ambassador for the University of the West Indies and a member of the Vice Chancellor Ambassador Corps. He has represented his organizations locally, nationally, regionally and internationally.
