In 1991 Santiago moved to Germany and stayed playing until 1994 forming various guitar-based groups of New Tango and South-American Folklore. Returning Southern roots, he continued his teaching activities keeping on researching tools and guitar techniques applied to Plata-riverside sounds in Argentina so as in Uruguay. During that period, Santiago began to explore Tonal Possibilities around Altered Modal Tunes and worked on Pedagogical Topics betting on free creativity. By conbining pick and fingers techniques, he developed his own style Bass&Guitar along many years of innovation to expand musical landscapes giving Plata-riverside Styles such as New Tango, Milonga, Candombe and another folklorical rhythms a contemporary treatment thru the Electric Guitar. In times in which multimedia market tries to put Folklorical Styles behind ring tones bars of a supposed 'easy vanguard', there are still people comitted to underprop the future of Regional Arts. Nowadays he’s researching on Music Therapy (improvisational and restoring psychodynamic music therapy)
