 About Me |
My inspiration for international issues and development occured at the age of 12 when a close family member passed away of Aids. This insipired me to do something, in terms of educating people and making others around me aware of issues around the world, because we are so busy and caught up in our lives that we forget to realize that there are people dieing in wars and because of poverty every minute of this day.
This past year i was the president of my schools Model United Nations club. And along with that i was Chair of the Aids Commitee in my school, in which we were able to raise $700.00. We donated that to the Aids Commitee of Toronto. Also i attended my first International conference in Quebec City for the World Youth Congress.
I am a volunteer at the AIDS commitee of Toronto where I have helped out for the past two years at their annual walk.
I also love to volunteer as much as i can on my spare time. I volunteer at the nursing home at which i also work at. At school sporting events, socail events and community events.
But I am inspired most by what is around me, from my younger siblings, to my neighbours to the people i met everyday. Everyone has their own story to share, and each story opens my eyes to the world infront of me.
If u don't find me in my bed reading a book, you can find be dancing, hanging out with my freinds, partying,trying new foods and hitting the gym!
