About Me

As mentioned, I am a student. At present I am in my last semester at New Mexico State University studying French, German and Linguistics and intend to pursue a PhD in Comparative Literature, starting next fall provided I get accepted anywhere! I have been on the executive board of my university's Model United Nations organization for 2 years, and was head delegate and President of the club last year. Participating in this capacity has broadened my worldview considerably and as a result, I am very interested in global issues, namely learning what I can about pressing topics such as globalization or sustainable development. I have enjoyed meeting Mrs. Kofi Annan as well as several UN delegates from Haiti and Ecuador during my involvment with the MUN.

Additionally, I love to travel and visit friends all over the world--I guess most people do, though. I'm usually stuck reading Voltaire for class or being at work, but when I'm not, I love independent movies and listening to New England hardcore bands ala Bane and Boy Sets Fire as well as other punkers like the Clash and the Bouncing Souls.
