 About Me |
Ama has been in the arts her entire life, raised by musicians and artists. She has four years professional training in Musical Theater, eight years of singing tutelage, and experience assisting and leading arts-related classes/workshops with both mainstream and special-needs children. She is in her first year of university in the U.K at a Conservatoire of Music and Drama, studying political performance art, which she finds challenging and inspiring and which has expanded and focused her arts practice. Ama is currently taking a year out of structured education to further her professional, artistic, and personal development in the fields that she is passionate. These include film, music, experimental, exploratory movement and voice work, and multimedia collaborations. Ama is staying with family in Canada, taking advantage of her time this year to travel and expand her creative expression. She is currently very excited to be working with the director of The Pod, an art school for children, in Vancouver's East Side.
