I'm 23 years old, and a senior at Arizona State University majoring in Psychology. I am also a member of the Executive Leadership Team for UCP-SARnet (University-Community Partnership for Social Action Research). This semester, I'm also working as an undergraduate teaching assistant for an online Community Psychology course. In addition to Community Psychology, I'm also interested in the effect of social stigmas and stereotypes on attitudes toward homosexuality, and how that differs between cultures. I believe that if we can find ways to break down misconceptions about sexuality, race, gender, etc., we can move toward a society that is more willing to help one another, and work together for the common good. Also, if anyone is interested in becoming an active member of UCP-SARnet, or if you would just like to learn more, please don't hesitate to send me a message. I'm currently looking for people interested in collaborting with me on UCP-SARnet for the the regions of Italy, Australia, and Belarus. Basically, this would apply to anyone who is actively involved in one of those communities, and would like to utilize our site to publish information about any events, opportunities, or organizations in your specific region. We're hoping to form a small group of regional coordinators for each region. Thanks for visiting my page, and I hope to hear from you soon! Alan J.
