I'm a young man of Nigeria origin who loved to be remembered as someone who beat the odds through just plain determination. ... that I persevered. Because I think that being somewhat of a pest to life, constantly plaguing and pursuing, will bring results. And thus; my motto for life is "You must do the thing you think you cannot do". I'm a writer, a reader, a listener, a scholar and a researcher. It's been my wish to meet up with as many as possible people all over the universe irrespective of their backgrounds. Though it is a good thing to be rich and it is a good thing to be strong, but it is a better thing to be beloved of many friends. Our getting together in a place like TAKING IT GLOBAL can of course make changes in this world of tribulations, imperialism, terrorism, racism, "HIV-ism", "aids-ism" hatred and many more. I strongly believe and still have the hope that our own generation shall be great and make this world a better place for living through mutual understanding, dedication, co-operation and commitment. Believing that the life that conquers is the life that moves with a steady resolution and persistence toward a predetermined goal. Those who succeed are those who have thoroughly learned the immense importance of plan in life, and the tragic brevity of time. There is great power in a resolution that has no reservations in it -- a strong, persistent, tenacious purpose -- which burns all bridges behind it and which clears all obstacles from its path and arrives at its goal, no matter how long it may take, no matter what the sacrifice or the cost. In UK, I have been able to attend many events that aimed at promoting African culture and in year 2002, I took part in the Golden Jubilee Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II of England. I also took part in African Cultural display at Commonwealth Game 2002 held in Manchester. This year also, I glad that I took part in the celebration of Black History Month Week held here in United Kingdom where lots of words were said on the history of slave trade. It's a wonderful event and I really enjoyed it because I'm personally interested in black people history. Education-wise, I have been involved in various activities that aimed at eradicating racism amongst the young people like attending conferences, lectures etc targetting probems of the modern world. Have been a delegate to UN youth council where many issues relating to world peace and reformation of UN were brought up. My contributions though infinitesimal, was one of the subjects at the gathering. At the moment I'm a student of Business Information Systems at Liverpool John Moore University.
